Maple Bear Midview City Adopts Susu the Baby Tree Kangaroo: Caring for Wildlife

Posted in Giving Back / Maple Bear Singapore on Thursday, March 13th, 2025

At Maple Bear, we pride ourselves on creating meaningful, hands-on experiences that transcend the traditional classroom setting. In October 2024, as part of their 10th-anniversary celebrations, Maple Bear Midview City adopted Susu, an endangered baby tree kangaroo, in partnership with the Singapore Zoo.

Their pledge to protecting wildlife biodiversity provides our students with an exceptional opportunity to connect with nature, wildlife, and the community. Embarking on this heartwarming new chapter emphasises our ongoing commitment to enriching our students’ learning journeys.

This adoption is not just a symbolic gesture; it’s a living, breathing lesson in empathy, conservation, and environmental stewardship. Collaborating with the Singapore Zoo is just one example of how we bring real-world learning experiences into our classrooms. It reflects our core values of fostering curiosity, empathy, and environmental awareness among young minds.

Susu, with her playful nature and endearing presence, captures the hearts of our young students. The adoption of Susu offers a tangible connection to wildlife conservation, as students learn about the importance of protecting these incredible creatures and their habitats. By integrating nature conservation into our extracurricular, our preschoolers are enriched with a deeper understanding of what it takes to build a sustainable future for all communities. We hope to inspire our students to take on an active role in protecting their planet and grow into informed, compassionate global citizens.

If you get a chance, visit the adorable Susu in Australasia during your family’s next trip to the Singapore Zoo and see firsthand the incredible work being done to care for wildlife.
